first_imgFiremen douse the side of the house and trees at the damaged house in AnnagryAn elderly couple have escaped injury when an oil tank exploded after a gorsefire spread close to their home this afternoon.It is understood the couple were still in their home in Annagry in West Donegal when the frightening incident took place.The incident caused some damage to the home at Loch Na dDeoran but the couple were unhurt. Quick-thinking members of the fire service were on the scene within minutes and doused the dwelling in foam.Two units of the fire service form Dungloe are currently at the scene.A number of mature trees at the side of the house have also been destroyed.The fire services are working around the clock to keep the fires under control after a night of mayhem.
